Were You at the Meeting Last Night?

If not, you missed great singing, hysterical lyrics, and some serious, ever-so-useful discussion.

At Conrads, lovers vs haters of cucmbers and beets, train doors in Seattle, politics, high-density sleeping quarters in Japan, and chads as confetti made their way around the table. Gautam did not, however.

That’s my story; I’m sticking to it!

Who are you and what do you do

At The Sweet Setup:

Every week we try to post a new interview with someone about what software they use on their Mac, iPhone, or iPad. We do these interviews because not only are they fun, but a glimpse into what tools someone uses and how they use those tools can spark our imagination and give us an idea or insight into how we can do things better.

Today’s victim, er, interviewee:

My name is David Koonce, and I’m the Solo Attorney behind Traffic Counsel, LLC.

You can catch Matthew’s complete story here: David Koonce’s Mac and iOS setup.

“Back issues” can be found here: Sweet Setup Interviews.

March 20th General Meeting

The History of Apple in Song

Sing along with M… arilyn

Join Marilyn Miller and her trusty Mac for a musical stroll down Apple memory lane. Accompanied by Mac, Marilyn will sing of momentous moments in the Apple saga, with witty songs penned by the irrepressible David Pogue. Guaranteed to bring a smile to your face!

Regular Features

Apps & Traps – Our essential monthly feature on interesting new products and services for iOS and OS X, brought to you by Dave Whitby.

appleSTEMs – Warren James presents interesting Apple science, technology, engineering, and math software.

appleCore – Everyone says that iOS and macOS are intuitive and easy to use. If you believe that, I’ve got a bridge to sell you. Although iOS and macOS are easy to use after you’ve learned how to use them, actually learning to use them can be a bit confusing. Often, basic things are not explained because it is assumed that you already know them. We all know that that’s not always the case. So now the SGVAUG presents an on-going series of short talks about the core elements of iOS and macOS so that soon, you’ll be able to tell everyone, “Of course iOS and macOS are intuitively obvious”.

Tonight’s appleCore will discuss how to organize your e-mail into folders and use rules to get your mail to the right place.

Were You at the Meeting Last Night?

If not, you missed out on some really cool stuff!

At Conrads, we touched on TV shows appearing on Amazon Prime; kittens playing football; and whether your washing machine might be listening to, and recording, your every word. And Gautam showed up…

That’s my story; I’m sticking to it!

Were You at the Meeting Last Night?

If not, you can do your own new MacBook Pro research.

At Conrads, pets to the vet, drones in the air, fun with Alexa, and automated cars dominated the conversation.

That’s my story; I’m sticking to it!

Were You at the Meeting Last Night?

If not, you must not be a party animal. The rest of us are, and a fine time was had!

At Conrads, swing-axle Jeeps, winter revenge in Chicago, Area 51, charging electronic devices by just walking, and Christmas carols (of course!) made their ways around the table.

That’s my story; I’m sticking to it!
